The borders in the garden have been completely redesigned and replanted. Harmony is provided by the white and soft blue colour of the planting which unify the garden.
The garden has been planted with evergreen, deciduous shrubs, fern and perennials with different shades of green, contrasting foliage, texture and forms. I have repeated the evergreens and deciduous shrubs of the Choisya x dewitteana, Hebe, Hydrangea arborescens ‘Annabelle’, Weigela, Lavendula as well as standard and ground cover white roses with interspersed drifts of Acanthus spinosus, Japanese anemone, Sedum stardust, Hosta and Verbena bonariensis to provide the unity, rhythm and repetition.
The widely planted Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’ provides a contrast for the planting and combines beautifully with the grass Miscanthus sinensis which adds a high and alternate form to the border. Bulbs are used to extend the season and add colour to the border throughout the year.
